Tufting is a fun and easy method of rug-making that anyone can enjoy! Don’t worry about a thing—we’ll provide all the materials you need and guide you through every step. In our dedicated rug tufting room, we have all the equipment you’ll need, including bespoke standing rug tufting frames that allow you to create rugs from small to large scale.

Your design will already be sketched onto the fabric canvas and waiting at your workspace to get started. We’ll begin by showing you how to use the tufting gun. Once you're comfortable, you’ll use it to shoot vibrant 100% wool yarn threads into the fabric. You’ll have some time to practice before diving into creating your own masterpiece

As you begin tufting, you'll learn the technique of working, which will help guide your flow and keep everything looking smooth. Once you’re comfortable, you’ll see just how easy and enjoyable tufting is—and hopefully, you’ll find it to be a perfect opportunity to unwind and create something beautiful.

We will be there with you every step of the way, offering helpful guidance and ensuring you stay on track, no previous experience is needed for our workshops. Our trained Tutor Kerry Cameron will take you stage by stage through the process. When you’re done tufting, you'll cut out your design, fold in the edges, and apply the backing fabric and glue. Then finally help you trim and shave your final piece to ensure polished, professional look. Please find our classes below.

Design Tips

Simplicity Works Best:

• To achieve the best results, we recommend simpler, bolder designs. Thin lines, intricate details, or small text can be challenging to tuft and may not create the desired effect. Once you submit your design, we’ll review it and

  suggest any necessary adjustments.

• Submit Clear, Front-Facing Images:

Design Quality:

• We prefer images in JPEG format or a screenshot from your phone—these work best for us.

• Please provide a straight-on, clear photo of your design. No angled shots.

Choose Your Colours on the Day:

• You’ll have the opportunity to pick from over vibrant range of colours ON THE DAY. Just send us your basic design outline beforehand, and we’ll have it sketched out for you on the canvas.

Keep it Dry:

• We don’t recommend using your rug as a bath mat or in high-moisture areas since it can’t get wet. It also can’t be machine washed, so think about where you’ll place your rug before deciding on the design.
